System technology for Toto

With a total workforce of about 25,000 employees, a 2013 turnover of ¥476.2 billion (about 3,300 million euros) and 27 companies located in 16 countries (in the Americas, Asia, Oceania and Europe), the Japanese multinational Toto is today one of the world's leading manufacturers of ceramic sanitaryware.

Toto is also renowned worldwide for its patented Hydrotect© technology, an innovative photocatalytic technology that gives surfaces a self-cleaning capability triggered by ultraviolet light.

One of the most important investments in progress at Toto's production sites is the imminent start-up of a new production line for large ceramic panels using GEA technology from System.
