Tecnargilla 2018: the countdown has started
The countdown for Tecnargilla 2018 has started. The world’s most important exhibition of supplies to the ceramic and brick industries will open its doors in Rimini on Monday 24th September and is on course for yet another successful edition, with a strong international profile and outstanding exhibitor and visitor figures.
A total of 500 exhibitors are taking part in the more than 80,000 square metres of exhibition space, including all the top Italian and international companies from the ceramic and brick machinery industries. Around 40% of the exhibitors are non-Italian companies from 20 different countries, particularly Spain, Turkey, Germany, the UK, Portugal, France, Egypt, India and China. The 26th edition of the show is also expected to see growth in both the numbers and quality of visitors following intense promotional efforts in international markets. The organisers are expecting more than 34,000 international visitors from around a hundred different countries.
The new features of this year’s show
The show’s organisers IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) and Acimac have decided to make a number of changes to the exhibition format, which is now more complete and functional with a series of new satellite shows and strategic changes in layout. Kromatech, catering for glaze and colour producers, design firms and raw materials suppliers, has been relocated to halls C1 and C2 close to the Ceramic Workshop area at the centre of the fairground. T-Finishing, a new section devoted to technologies, equipment and chemical products for ceramic tile finishing processes, is being held in halls B3, B5 and D5. And, for the first time ever, Tecnargilla is hosting a dedicated section called GreenTech (Hall 3) devoted to green technologies and systems for reducing consumption and emission levels and improving the performance and profitability of the production cycle. To complete the range of offerings, the Claytech and T-White sections – the first devoted to bricks and roof tiles and the second to sanitaryware production – are being hosted in halls A5-C5.
High-quality buyers from 27 countries
Tecnargilla is set to maintain its international leadership in 2018 with the presence of top international buyers, a select group of new investors who are interested in purchasing the most innovative technologies available on the market. More than 100 leading producers of ceramic tiles, sanitaryware and bricks and roof tiles from 27 countries (Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Vietnam) will meet with exhibitor companies in the International Buyer’s Lounge for a pre-scheduled agenda of appointments. The result of intense promotional efforts on the part of the Tecnargilla team in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA, the business meeting platform is proving very popular with exhibitors as a unique opportunity to bring together supply and demand at a major international tradeshow.
