Vittorio Borelli named chairman designate of Confindustria Ceramica


The Executive Board of Confindustria Ceramica has unanimously approved the designation of Vittorio Borelli as the Association's chairman for the two-year period 2013-2015. He will be proposed as Chairman at the Members' Meeting to be held on 11 June in Sassuolo. The current Chairman Franco Manfredini will remain in office until that date.

Borelli, 42, has a degree in Political Science from the University of Bologna and has been working at Fincibec since April 1996, first as area manager for overseas markets, then as General Manager of the Century brand and since 2008 as Managing Director. He has many years of experience within the Association, serving as a member of the Promotional and Exhibitions Committee since 1999 and as Chairman of the Committee since 2007. From June 2005 to May 2011 he was a member of the Executive Board of Confindustria Ceramica.

Fincibec Group, a ceramic sector company founded 50 years ago, has three factories in the Sassuolo area with a production capacity of 10 million square metres and 500 employees. It serves 3,000 customers worldwide with its three brand names Monocibec, Century and Naxos. Over the years the Group has focused special attention on quality certification (UNI EN ISO 9001) and on environmental issues, gaining ANAB-ICEA certification and certification relating to the use of "40% recycled materials".
