Weflex supplies Track+Race technology to Bayker Italia

A new plant built with Track + Race technology, a solution distributed exclusively in Italy by warehouse management system supplier Weflex (Casinalbo, MO), will start up in the autumn at Bayker Italia, a well-known ceramic company based in Fiorano Modenese (MO). This further success for Track + Race follows the excellent results achieved in the last three years with more than 800 vehicles currently equipped and operating worldwide.

The exclusive modular system from Weflex, based on passive RFID technology, allows for full control of goods handling and can easily be integrated with all steps in company processes from production to shipment, thereby ensuring complete traceability of all handled goods, whether semi-finished or finished products. Track+Race offers the same functions as a vertical warehouse but for a much smaller investment, allowing for optimum space usage, full tracking of batches and movements and real-time warehouse stock monitoring. It also drastically reduces search times for warehoused and collected goods and avoids errors in all stages from pick-up to deposit and during picking activities. The system offers considerable advantages over conventional barcode solutions, such as the lack of a need for scanning, and provides an extremely simple and quick-to-learn man-machine interface.
