Mosbuild Preview: - FM:"Evolution". glaze distributor for the ceramic sector

Evolution is the new FM project consisting of a highly innovative glaze distributor for the ceramic sector:
- Anti-mist: an improvement in environmental conditions in the glazing department is the first advantage of Evolution as the mist caused by spray application is totally eliminated, even using other glazing systems. The absence of mist also increases the durability of all components of the line. The quantity of used glaze is also reduced as less is dispersed to the environment.
- Energy saving: the increase in efficiency of the glazing process allows for improved penetration and uniformity and a lower speed of rotation, thereby assuring reduced energy consumption. The lower weight compared to conventional disc units results in less energy consumption for rotation. Energy savings are also made in the manufacture of Evolution as the number of constituent elements is drastically reduced and the production cycle is therefore much shorter.
- Simplified management: Evolution is designed to be able to offer customers a single model that adapts to all glazing booths. Each of the two available versions (diameters 150 mm and 200 mm) meets the various requirements in terms of application weight, glaze and tile size. This results in simplified parts management and a reduction in warehouse stock.
- Improvement in disposal and recycling: Evolution is made from a single thermoplastic material, which increases the ease of disposal and recycling as it is no longer necessary to separate all the components.
- Improved application uniformity: Application of the glaze by agitation (transformed into a fluid flow) rather than by nebulisation (transformed into micro droplets) assures optimal penetration of the glaze on the tile and consequently improved application uniformity.
- Application weight metering: In conjunction with the specially designed line of plastic tubes, Evolution allows the glaze application weight to be metered simply by altering a few operating parameters, making it unnecessary to stop the line to change disc pack model.
- Elimination of “memory lines”: The phenomenon known as “memory lines” in which disc application causes ribbing on the tile is totally eliminated due to Evolution’s revolutionary operating system.
- Low weight: Evolution’s geometry and constituent material guarantee an approximately 40% reduction in finished product weight with respect to traditional disc packs. The direct consequence of this is a considerable reduction in the dynamic vibrations caused by rotation and the possibility of reaching speeds that previously would have been impossible.

Evolution’s vital statistics: 2 years to develop, 11 national and international patents, 5 months of field trials, 1 award for innovation.
Winner of Premiostar 2008.
