New construction in the Asian Games Village in the lead up to the Olympics
A further expansion, according to the Italian Trade Commission (ICE), is programmed for the next years, in the run up to the 2008 Olympic Games, to be hosted by China. The Asian Games Village is considered to be a zone of strategic interest by Beijing, highly attractive to businessmen, and potential investors are particularly interested in the outlying parts of the zone, especially to the north. The area - which has a good mix of high rise towers, a low percentage of residential complexes and a number of other categories of building - has real estate prices running from 240 to 2000 dollars per square metre.
