Belite Ceramics chooses Sacmi for its new project in Anyang
Chinese group Belite Ceramics, a leading producer of high-end white body wall tiles with manufacturing plants located in Anyang and Tianjin, has placed an order with Sacmi for the purpose of raising its output in the wall tile segment and producing a new line of porcelain floor tiles.
With the aim of achieving the maximum efficiency, sustainability and process control at the manufacturing facility in Anyang, the company has commissioned Sacmi to provide a complete body preparation line consisting of two separate units for the production of wall and floor tile slips, both equipped with modular grinding solutions and Sacmi ATE spray driers.
Sacmi Nanhai, the group’s Chinese branch, will supply pressing equipment consisting of three PHC 2890 presses for wall tiles and three PHC 4300 presses for the new floor tile line, downstream of which four horizontal dryers and three dual-channel kilns will be installed.
The order will also include sorting and pallet handling solutions supplied by Sacmi-NuovaSima, including LGVs (laser guided vehicles). More specifically, the five sorting lines are equipped with the Flawmaster vision system for total quality control of ceramic manufacturing operations.
Control of the entire process will be performed by the Sacmi H.E.R.E (Human Expertise for Reactive Engineering) supervisor, the Sacmi 4.0 solution that monitors all stages of production to maximise efficiency and increase output quality.
The Belite Ceramics Group was founded in 2004 and with this investment aims to reach the top end of the market and reinforce its role as a key supplier of world-renowned ceramic brands.
