BMR consolidates its export shares

Scandiano, Reggio Emilia-based company BMR, a world-leading supplier of tile finishing technologies renowned for its efficiency, innovation and quality, has secured a number of orders from leading international tile manufacturers in recent months.

In Brazil, Eliane has purchased a 9-motor dry squaring machine for porcelain and monoporosa, while Incepa (Roca Group) has chosen BMR to supply a polishing line consisting of two 8-point calibrating units and three 20-head polishing modules, complete with the Top Coat surface treatment line. This is one of the longest lines every installed by the Italian company. Also in Brazil, two dry and wet squaring lines have been installed for the first time at Cerâmicas Embramaco, while Delta Industria Ceramica has chosen two dry squaring and four wet squaring lines. For both companies these are new investments aimed at increasing production of porcelain and red body semi-stoneware.

In Poland, Tubadzin has purchased a Top Squadra Dry 12-motor dry squaring line for porcelain and monoporosa, complete with the Cut Crash cutting/splitting line. This is one of the first European installations of the new BMR dry technology outside Italy.

New investments to increase production capacity have also been made in Egypt, where Horizon and Cleopatra have installed a honing and squaring line complete with Top Coat treatment line. BMR has also fulfilled two orders in Saudi Arabia. The first, supplied to Riyadh Ceramics, is for a Squadra Dry 9-motor dry squaring line with cutting/splitting and DryCut, and a cutting/splitting machine for ceramic strips. The second is for a Leviga honing line (consisting of two 12-head modules), complete with Cut Crash, Squadra and Top Coat treatment line currently being delivered to Al-Jawdah, a new customer for BMR in this market.

Last but not least, BMR has contributed to the expansion of the Israeli firm Negev by supplying a complete honing-squaring-cutting/splitting line, a cutting/splitting line for planks and trim pieces and a new Top Coat treatment line. This is a major modernisation project for Negev, which will consequently be able to commence production of single fired and porcelain tiles and satisfy a considerable portion of domestic demand.
