Ceramika Paradyz confirms its trust in Durst

The technology partnership between Durst and Ceramika Paradyż, the first Polish tile manufacturer to adopt digital printing, is continuing successfully.

The first Durst Gamma 60 system was installed back in 2007, enabling the company to expand its catalogue with extremely high-quality products and consolidate its leadership position in the local market. Ten years later, Ceramika Paradyż has switched entirely to inkjet technology and now has no fewer than 7 Durst systems installed at its facilities, including Gamma 75 HD and the top-of-the-range models in the new Gamma XD series.

The recently installed Gamma XD systems have given a further boost to the leading Polish company’s creative potential thanks to the possibility of combining effect inks to create novel designs and finishes. These solutions have also enabled the company to optimise the production process for large-size tiles.

As confirmed by chief technologist Przemyslaw Karczmarski, the Paradyz creative department particularly appreciated the perfect compatibility between the new Durst systems and the graphic formats used on the various printers, allowing for ease of conversion and significantly reducing the processing times for new projects. “It is important for us to be able to perform offline simulations of print quality on all our systems and machines so that a given design can be replicated on the various production lines,” added Karczmarski.

The continuous expansion of the decorative materials that can be used and the possibility of synchronising the printing processes are two of the most urgent needs expressed by ceramic tile manufacturers. The aim is to further improve the quality and variety of finishes while at the same time optimising the production processes by reducing the individual steps on the various processing lines and ensuring more rapid data management.
