Cersaie 2025 attracts nearly 95,000 visitors
Cersaie 2025 in Bologna was attended by 94,577 visitors, 0.8% down on 2024, with international attendees making up 47.5% of the total.
Despite the challenging market environment, the results of Cersaie 2025 once again fully lived up to the expectations of its 627 exhibitors.
Held in Bologna from 22 to 26 September, the 42nd International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings confirmed its role as the most important international showcase for the sector, welcoming 49,671 Italian (+3%) and 44,906 international attendees (-4.6%), the latter accounting for 47.5% of the total.
With a total floor space of 155,000 square metres in 16 halls, the show hosted 343 ceramic tile manufacturers, 98 bathroom furnishing companies and 186 firms operating in related sectors such as installation materials, raw materials, glazes and colours, non-ceramic surfaces and services. Once again this year the show stood out for its international scope, with foreign companies from 29 countries making up 243 of the 627 exhibitors present (39%). The best represented foreign country was Spain with more than 140 brands.
Along with their latest product innovations, exhibitors also displayed a remarkable ability to create exhibits and installations with a powerful visual and emotional impact.
Commenting on the results, Confindustria Ceramica Chairman Augusto Ciarrocchi noted that Cersaie’s strong appeal combined with the high quality of attendees enabled exhibitors to make the most of their investment in the show.
“The Italian ceramic industry remains the world leader thanks to its investments, the quality of its design and innovation, and its unflagging commitment to environmental and social sustainability,” he said.
BolognaFiere Chairman Gianpiero Calzolari echoed this sentiment, adding that “the results of this year’s edition demonstrate the vitality of the sector despite the challenging international context, as well as its extraordinary ability to generate relationships, ideas and tangible development opportunities”.
The extensive programme of events held during the 42nd Cersaie also proved a big success. As Confindustria Ceramica’s Head of Promotional Activities Filippo Manuzzi noted, the Keynote Lecture by architect Elizabeth Diller was attended by an audience of 500, hundreds of architects took part in the events in the “Building, Dwelling, Thinking” programme, 1,200 students participated in the Lesson in Reverse and 300 young people attended the Career Day.
The next edition of Cersaie will take place in Bologna from 21 to 25 September 2026.
