Conference on refractories: characteristics and new uses
A seminar entitled “The evolution of refractory materials: characteristics and new uses” will be held at the headquarters of Confindustria Ceramica at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday 12 March.
The meeting, now in its fifth edition, is organised by the Italian Ceramic Society in cooperation with Confindustria Ceramica. It follows the previous meetings held in 1994, 1995, 1999 and 2004 and allows for a continued dialogue between producers and users of refractory materials in traditional ceramic production.
The programme will consist of eight talks on aspects of refractory technology in various industrial sectors.
Confindustria Ceramica chairman Alfonso Panzani and Italian Ceramic Society chairman Piero Zannini will open the proceedings.
They will be followed by Giorgio Aliprandi (Unige), Michele Martino (Sanac), Giuliano Brachero (Confindustria Ceramica), Giuseppe Pettinati (Thermal Ceramics Europe), Cesare Pegoraro (Keratech), Sandro Hreglich (Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro) and Arrgio Borin (A.B. Consul), who will discuss the technological applications of refractories in various industrial sectors.
