Conference on sustainable development
A conference entitled “The age of sustainable development. New competitive scenarios” will be held on Monday 27 October at 2.30 p.m. in the Confindustria Ceramica conference hall. This theme has become a subject of considerable debate in recent years due to strong market interest and the fact that it can represent a competitive factor for companies.
Organised in cooperation with Ceramicolor, the aim of the meeting is to determine whether a “green” market demand exists, what its scale and prospects are and how Italian companies are positioned relative to this potential market.
Marco Frey (Università Bocconi) will analyse the relationship between sustainability and competitiveness of products while Simone Pisani (Tetra Pak) will discuss what a multinational does to transform the market’s environmental demands into value.
Giorgio Timellini will present the 2nd Integrated Report (Environment, Energy, Health and Safety, Quality, Company Social Responsibility) produced by Confindustria Ceramica ten years after the previous edition and providing a comprehensive and up-to-date picture of how Italian companies are positioned relative to the various aspects of sustainability.
Last but not least, architect Alessandro Marata will discuss the various environmental protocols and a project (“The two-litre house”) concerning a concrete application of sustainable architecture.
