Durst and Goto Inc. receive the Lixil Partner Excellence Award
For the second time in a row, Lixil has selected Durst and Goto Inc. as the suppliers to be honoured with the prestigious award.
Durst and its Japanese distributor Goto Inc. have received the Lixil Partner Excellence Award for the second time in a row. This award is presented annually by the well-known Japanese ceramics group, a leading tile and sanitaryware producer, to just 9 of its more than 1,000 suppliers in recognition of their major contribution to the company’s technical, technological and organisational development over the last year.
Goto Inc. and Durst were granted the Partner Excellence Award for the development of direct digital printing for the innovative Lixil Ecocarat mosaic tile collection, one of Lixil’s most important product series which features a patented, innovative “breathable” technology.
The technology developed by Durst and Goto allows for direct handling and decoration of loose mosaic tiles on an industrial production line without the use of trays, successfully implementing the world’s first industrial-level solution for efficient and cost-effective mosaic production. It is an innovation that may be of interest to a number of ceramic companies all over the world.
The Durst Gamma XD digital printing technology, renowned for its high print quality, reliability and uptime, combined with the special technology developed and support provided by Goto Inc., have significantly contributed to strengthening Lixil’s market position in this segment.
“We were very glad to fulfil this challenging but most interesting requirement of one of our most important long-time customers,” said Norbert von Aufschnaiter, Segment Manager, Durst Ceramics Printing. “Receiving this prestigious Partner Excellence Award from LIXIL is a big honour for both GOTO INC. and Durst.”
