Eczacibasi adopts LB technology
The major Turkish ceramic group (owner of the well-known Vitra brand) has begun construction of a new line for the production of 3,500 sq.m/day of porcelain tiles in Bozuyuk.
The current investment covers the first part of a plant which will ultimately have an output of 10,000 sq.m/day.
Eczacibasi has chosen technology from LB (Fiorano Modenese, Italy) for powder management and press feeding.
The Italian firm, a supplier to Eczacibasi for several years now, has been commissioned to design and construct the entire area between the spray dryer and the presses.
In addition to the powder storage and batching units and press feeding, the new plant will have a line for the production of spray-dried flakes to be used for products of high aesthetic quality.
