Expoedilizia e Sitte: a complete picture of the building sector

From 13 to 16 November, the Nuova Fiera in Rome will again be hosting two events bringing together the entire construction industry at a single venue: Expoedilizia, a professional show for building and architecture, and SITE, exhibition of Heating, Plumbing and Electrical Systems.
Last year the show hosted 900 exhibitors and drew more than 30,000 visitors; in 2008 it will have a completely new concept and new theme areas specially designed to complement the exhibition offerings.

Expoedilizia will have nine sections and for the first time will be hosting "Finiture" ("Finishings"), the show devoted to floor and wall coverings and interior finishings. There will also be a special focus on wood. According to figures published by Assolegno between 2000 and 2007, the use of wood floors has increased significantly reaching a total consumption of 8,700,000 cubic metres.
An enormous selection of floor and wall covering materials will be showcased, including ceramic tiles, natural stone, terracotta, granite, metals and resins.

The two shows will be complemented by an interesting ancillary initiative entitled Progetto Erre - A journey through Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency in building. The objective is to enhance the profile of companies offering advantageous solutions for reducing environmental impact and energy saving.
