Ferrari & Cigarini is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1969, the company based in Maranello (Modena) started out by producing glazing lines and automated systems for kiln loading/unloading and storage plants.
Since the late 1980s, it has specialised in the production of cutting and profiling plants for mosaics, strips, skirting, bullnose pieces and steps in ceramic, marble, granite, agglomerate, brick and glass. Ever attentive to technological innovation and high quality standards, Ferrari & Cigarini has also invested heavily in the development of robotised islands for automatic feeding, unpackaging and palletisation on cutting, profiling, grinding, polishing and lapping lines.
Along with its line of machinery for large-scale industrial production, since 2010 Ferrari & Cigarini has also been supplying equipment for tile installation professionals. This includes Compactline, a new range of highly compact machines for cutting, profiling and grinding that are simple to use and allow even non-expert personnel to achieve high-quality results.
To cater for the growing popularity of large-size ceramic surfaces, the company has developed the BigSlim system consisting of machines designed to create kitchen and bathroom countertops and steps by machining slabs up to 360x160 cm in size and consisting of porcelain, marble, granite and agglomerate (OKITE, Silestone, Neolith).
