Ferro on show at 'Never say Mao. Serving the pop'
Inside the event, free to those who enter into the fair, ‘Never say Mao. Serving the Pop’, an ironic but not disrespectful exhibition dedicated to China and to Mao Tze Tung, also in the light of the Olympic Games in 2008.
The ceramic panel created by Ferro – ‘The big jump’, a Marco Lodola project – figures 100 period ballerinas, decorated using digital printing technology and Ferro’s new KeramINKs.
The event has reconstructed the period icons and those colours in the form of ceramics, leaflets, flags, clothes, publishing of the Cultural Revolution and quotes by Mao and Maoism created by important Italian and international artists.
The exhibition, organized for Parma fairs by Gherardo Frassa, for which 40.000 catologues are to be distributed, will see the collaboration of italian Tv star Piero Chiambretti who matched his image to that of Mao.
Marcanteinfiera can be visited from the 22nd to the 30th September, from 10:00 to 20:00.
