Giuseppe Abello new director of Ceramicolor

25/07/05 – Giuseppe Abello has been appointed director of Ceramicolor, the association of Italian ceramic colour and metal oxide producers, as of 1 July this year.

Abello, 38, has a degree in Engineering from Milan Polytechnic and ten years’ experience at Federchimica. He first worked in the federation’s Central Technical and Scientific Management, then took on responsibility not only for Ceramicolor but since 2000 also for lubricants and waterproofing products.

“Ceramicolor is a very active association with unique characteristics and a dynamism that is often unique in its field,” declared the newly appointed director. “The companies belonging to Ceramicolor provide excellent examples of chemistry at the service of ceramic, delivering added value that allows Italian products to excel in all world markets.

The research carried out in the field of glaze application is vitally important for the ceramic industry.
These aspects are the key strength of the glaze and colour producers, who make very substantial investments every year, frequently higher in percentage terms than the traditional ceramic companies.”
