Gruppo MoMa acquires Gruppo Ceramiche Ricchetti

The transaction aims to relaunch the historic brands Cisa, Cerdisa and Ricchetti through their integration into the MoMa Group and the development of significant commercial and production synergies.

The MoMa Group, based in Finale Emilia (Modena) and comprising the companies Ceramiche Moma, Savoia Italia, Herberia, Arpa, Idea Ceramiche and Paul Ceramiche, finalized in December the acquisition of Ceramiche Ricchetti Group (GRC), a historic player in the Italian ceramic industry, internationally recognized in the floor and wall coverings sector with the brands Cisa, Cerdisa and Ricchetti. The scope of the transaction includes only GRC’s production and distribution activities in Italy, while the foreign subsidiaries will remain under the control of the QuattroR Fund.

For the MoMa Group, owned by the Vacondio family, the acquisition represents a decisive step in its growth strategy. The objective is to ensure the industrial continuity of GRC and enhance its historic brands which, as announced, will remain independent. Ceramiche Ricchetti Group will therefore become part of the MoMa Group while maintaining production at the Maranello (Modena) plant.

MoMa Group’s strategy is to create significant production and commercial synergies with the other Group companies, fostering growth and the relaunch of brands that over the years have built a strong premium positioning by promoting high product quality and a unique, distinctive style.

“We are proud to announce the acquisition of Ceramiche Ricchetti Group, a fundamental step in our growth strategy and in the completion of our product range,” said Renzo Vacondio, CEO of MoMa Group. “Ceramiche Ricchetti represents an icon of Italian industry. The acquisition has enabled the company to successfully complete its restructuring process, laying the foundations for an ambitious industrial integration project within the MoMa Group.”
