Inco installs a new photovoltaic system
The Pavullo-based ceramic glaze and colour producer is promoting several initiatives as part of its sustainability programme.
With the aim of reducing CO2 emissions and saving on energy costs, Inco Industria Colori has installed a photovoltaic array on the roofs of its factory located in Pavullo nel Frignano (MO). The total capacity of the photovoltaic panels amounts to 815 kW. The energy produced is used to power the company’s operations, bringing an estimated saving of around 35% of total consumption. Since installing the system, Inco has offset more than 2 million kg of CO2.
The project is part of a broader environmental sustainability plan under which Inco has set itself a number of goals. It has already reduced electricity consumption by relamping, i.e. installing new LED ceiling lights that perform better in terms of power consumption, duty cycle and efficiency.
