José Luis Ramón joins the Board of Directors of ABK Group

He will support the Group’s strategic direction, with a particular focus on accelerating the growth and development of the slabs segment.

ABK Group, one of Italy's leading ceramic surface manufacturers, has appointed José Luis Ramón as Member of the Board of Directors. In this role, he will support the Group’s strategic direction, with a particular focus on accelerating growth and development activities within ABK's slabs product segment.

With over two decades of international executive experience in the premium surfaces industry, José Luis Ramón brings an outstanding proven record of leadership, vision and value creation. He has held senior leadership roles at some of the most prominent players in the sector, including CEO of Neolith Group and Corporate COO at Cosentino Group, where he played a pivotal role in the development and global launch of Dekton.

In addition, he has been actively involved in technology-driven businesses such as Veegoo Technology and Electronics for Imaging (EFI), reinforcing his expertise at the intersection of materials, design, and industrial innovation.

At ABK Group, José Luis Ramón's mandate will concentrate on strengthening the overall strategy, with particular attention to the slabs segment, while providing hands-on support to the ABK team to drive day-to-day growth. His deep knowledge of competitive dynamics, global distribution networks, product applications, and brand positioning in the slab and large-format surface market makes him an ideal strategic figure for this role.

Stefano Giordani appointed Marketing, Innovation and Product Development manager

Alongside Ramón’s appointment, ABK Group has named Stefano Giordani as the new head of strategic management for the Group’s product portfolio, effective from 4 May. His goal is to further enhance innovation, design and quality in order to strengthen the Group’s position in the global premium ceramics market. He now oversees the Marketing and Communications, Merchandising and Trade Fairs, and Research & Development departments.

Giordani also has an extensive track record in the sector, having held senior positions in marketing and product development at some of the industry’s leading companies, including Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola, Colorobbia Group, Iris Ceramica and Florim Ceramiche, as well as the ABK Group itself, where he had previously worked between 2009 and 2015.
