Marfin looks to the future

New prospects for the long-established packaging machinery company: Pietro Zini and Massimiliano Sghedoni join the ownership structure.

Marfin, a long-established Modena-based company specialising in machinery for packaging palletised products, expanded its ownership structure in 2024 with the arrival of new partners Pietro Zini, who took over as CEO, and Massimiliano Sghedoni. Both have decades of experience working for well-known companies located in the Sassuolo ceramic district and specialising in the packaging and end-of-line segments.

Over its more than 30 years of operations, Marfin has broadened its range of services and technologies and expanded into new client sectors and geographical markets. Today, the company manufactures strapping and hooding machines and heat shrink ovens, and guarantees a rapid customer support and spare parts service.

The new CEO aims to maintain the company’s upward growth curve while enhancing its organisational structure and product quality, thereby “guaranteeing maximum dedication to the construction of efficient, functional, durable, high-performance and technologically advanced machinery”.

In the coming months, Marfin is planning to move to new, larger premises to reflect the growth project associated with the company’s expanded ownership structure.
