Modena Centro Prove expands its range of instrumentation
Modena Centro Prove, a test, chemical analysis and technological service laboratory, has expanded its range of instruments and equipment with the adoption of the new Zeiss Evo MA 15 “HR - Dual Gun” high-resolution scanning electron microscope.
The high-performance microscope can analyse any kind of ceramic (or metallic, plastic or biological) sample without any need for preparation or preliminary metallisation. The SEM is also equipped with a latest-generation EDS microanalysis system (with a detector that does not need to be cooled with liquid nitrogen) for qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and for maps and concentration profiles. The configuration also includes an automatic particle analysis software for automatic routines to identify, measure and analyse particles, inclusions, powders, etc.
Modena Centro Prove has been serving the ceramic industry for 30 years, providing comprehensive support for testing, applied technological research, and chemical and physical analysis of tiles, tableware, sanitaryware, bricks and refractories, as well as stone, adhesives, aggregates, cement and mortar.
