New Sacmi plants for the Iris Group
Focusing on the innovation offered by the Continua pressing technology for the production of smooth and structured ceramic tiles (for which patents have been registered very recently), Romano Minozzi, head of the Iris/Ariostea/GranitiFiandre Group, has confirmed a further investment in plant with the Sacmi Group.
The updated version of the successful Continua line, CONTINUA+ is a new technology that only uses roller compaction for the production of large format tiles, allowing the producer to naturally vary the aesthetic effects achieved, and leaving ample space for creativity. It enables the user to make enamelled porcelain stoneware ceramic plates and tiles in a wide range of thicknesses and sizes and with customised surfaces and bodies. This can be done at an extremely high speed, exceeding the production rate of traditional products.
