Sacmi: new production line for Micc Ceramics
The Micc ceramic factory, located on the Nile delta, has always played a pivotal role in Egypt's ceramic industry. It recently achieved a daily tiles output rate of 50,000 square metres.
Just a few months ago assembly of a new Sacmi line - now up and running at full capacity - was completed; this has boosted output rates (previously in the order of 20-25,000 square metres per day depending on tile size) considerably.
The backbone of this new line consists of two MMC 074 modular grinding mills, an ATM 140 spray dryer, three PH 3020 presses and two 140-metre kilns, a set-up that ensures just the right mix of red body single fire and monoporosa products the company requires.
A big step forwards, then, that will allow Micc Ceramics to boost its output potential; this is especially true as regards export quotas, which this all-new Sacmi-supplied line is expected to improve significantly.
