Sacmi supplies complete plant to Algeria

Sacmi and Cosmec recently completed the start-up of the first part of a new plant supplied to Sobris - BMSD, a renowned Algerian brick manufacturer and dynamic industrial group operating in both the brick industry and other sectors. This first part regards the dual-line fired product unloading section, which can simultaneously and independently unload two kiln cars sent from both the new and the existing plant.

Thanks to the effective technical collaboration of the BMSD Group, Sacmi is currently completing the smooth integration of the new complete plant while partially modifying the old production line, without interfering with the existing production programmes and above all avoiding plant downtimes.

The complete plant consists of a complete wide-outlet cutting line (one of the largest installed in Algeria), an innovative green piece programming and loading system on drying carriers, and a high output carrier-type rapid dryer with hot-galvanised 6000x1100 mm carriers that can be loaded 3 pieces deep. Next there is a dual-line stacker for high output rates and a new kiln car handling system serving both the new and existing plants. The order also includes a tunnel kiln with an innovative Sacmi combustion system consisting of acid-resistant refractory material, an innovative heat recovery system and special insulation to ensure low consumption and maximum recovery efficiency. Last but not least, the dual fired material unloading system is able to unload two kiln cars simultaneously and independently.
