Saie 2015 focuses on construction and renovation
Saie 2015 (Bologna from 14 to 17 October) launches the new Saie Smart House format devoted to construction and rehabilitation of buildings and cities. The organisation of this platform, which will subsequently be held in odd years, goes hand in hand with the 20 20 20 goals established by the European Union: -20% energy consumption, -20% emissions and +20% energy from renewable sources. To achieve these goals it will be necessary to address a number of interrelated aspects, including design with awareness, responsible living and sustainable building.
Halls 32 and 33 will be devoted to the theme of "Design" and will be hosting leading companies in the industry whose innovative software solutions and services cater for the operational needs of professionals and technicians.
Halls 25 and 26 will be devoted to the theme of "Building" where the most significant innovations in construction materials and systems will be showed.
Building technologies for sustainable living will take centre stage in the exhibition area of halls 21 and 22, where they will be assigned 20% more space than at the previous edition. Items on display will include roofs, envelopes and lightweight facades, infill walls, insulation and waterproofing, accessories and solutions for improving energy efficiency.
The Brick and Ceramic Park (organised jointly by Andil and Confindustria Ceramica) will as usual be hosting member companies of Andil, the show's longstanding partner which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
The conferences will continue in Hall 26 with a training programme organised by Saie Academy with a total of 28 advanced training courses (valid for training credits) covering 4 theme areas: New design tools for a safe and efficient house; Functional, performance and energy redevelopment of buildings; Recovery and structural reinforcement of buildings; Professionals and urban regeneration.
The show will maintain its usual focus on Italian know-how worldwide with seminars and workshops aimed at companies and professionals in emerging markets, as well as B2B meetings to facilitate exchange and interaction between Italian and international markets and thereby promote important business opportunities. Delegations from Vietnam, the Gulf region, Azerbaijan, Iran, Egypt, Morocco and Turkey will be organised in cooperation with the Italian Trade Commission ICE and UnionCamere Emilia-Romagna.
New features in 2015 will include SAIE Hydrogeo, an information and exhibition area devoted to the theme of land remediation and safety from a hydrogeological perspective, and Re-Use, Re-Start, an initiative launched in collaboration with Nomisma as a way of increasing the value and appeal of the property market.
