Serenissima Cir sells factory in Alfonsine (Ravenna) to Egyptian company Omega Ceramic

The sale of the factory in Filo di Alfonsine (province of Ravenna) by Serenissima Cir Industrie Ceramiche (Casalgrande, Reggio Emilia) was finalised on 30 April.

The purchaser is Omega Ceramic, a major Egyptian ceramic group based in Cairo which has been producing tiles for more than 15 years and has a production capacity of 60,000 sq.m/day at its facilities in 10th of Ramadan City.

The operation allows the Serenissima Cir group, led by the Romani family, to maintain the Cercom brand name and to concentrate its manufacturing activities at the two facilities in Rubiera and Roteglia.

Over the last two years it has invested more than 20 million euros at these two sites with the aim of reaching a sufficient production capacity for the group's needs. Under the terms of the sale agreement, almost the entire workforce will be kept on.
