Smac presents new MAS-R sandblasting machine for extruded bricks
The innovative dry application solution on extruded facing bricks offers extensive decorative potential.
Smac has launched its new MAS-R sandblasting machine, which allows for application on the three visible sides of the facing brick by means of an upper roller/belt and special lateral roller applicators.
This type of decoration is mainly carried out using grits of various sizes and colours depending on the desired final effect. These grits have the advantage of being inexpensive and readily available on the market and do not require complex preparation.
The MAS-R offers numerous advantages over traditional pressure sandblasters, including ease of application, minimal noise, reduced dust and fumes, strict control of applied quantities and minimal overall dimensions.
The application is performed at the extruder exit on green material, which allows for excellent adhesion of the grit to the surface aided by the special pressure rollers installed on the machine.
A further surface decoration can be achieved by installing one or more modules with pressure rollers that have been engraved and shaped by means of exclusive 3D technology to achieve rustic effects with the desired texture.
