Smalticeram opens its showroom for "Digital it's now 4.0"
The Smalticeram showroom in Roteglia (Reggio Emilia) is currently hosting an event entitled "Digital it’s now 4.0", an exhibition of ceramic projects with visually striking material effects in which the products developed by the ceramic glaze and colour companies are combined with cutting-edge digital and non-digital technologies.
Spanning everything from large-format panels down to small size tiles, the event showcases a series of models displaying the powerful material effects of Smalticeram’s advanced digital products developed through constant research into innovative solutions.
At the same time the glaze and colour producer is embarking on a major investment. At its site in Roteglia it is setting up a pilot plant which will be capable of reconstructing the entire ceramic production process and offering customers feasibility studies for materials. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the plant includes a press for large sizes, double loading systems, latest-generation digital printers, a complete glazing line, an industrial kiln and various experimental prototypes. It is expected to become operational by the end of the summer.
