Spiller: excellent results from the Rimini launch

Amongst the new products launched by CMF Technology at Tecnargilla 2014, the Spiller press feeder attracted particularly strong interest amongst visitors, resulting in orders from several leading porcelain tile manufacturers being placed directly at the show.

Spiller is designed in two versions: as a press feeder for traditional mould presses (Press Feeder) and as a decoration unit on latest-generation belt presses (Evolution). In both cases, it is capable of decorating with a high throughput double-loading process, optimising the deposited thickness according to requirements. It can deposit any kind of material for dry decoration and can create varied shade or speckled backgrounds ready for subsequent glazing line applications. The stability and perfect post-pressing visibility of the applied design is ideal for the production of high-quality full-body porcelain tiles (polished with marble, travertine and stone effects and three-dimensional surfaces).

Three different devices are involved in the decoration process: fixed shaped grids (Static), mobile devices that alter their aesthetic effects during the loading stages to create a dynamic decoration design (Dynamic), and a special manipulation effect that creates new aesthetic profiles (Waves).

The substantial energy saving offered by the new machine is one of the characteristics that was most appreciated by visitors.
