Tecnema Technology reports another growth year
Tecnema Technology, a Maranello-based company that has been operating for almost thirty years in the ceramic tile and natural stone finishing sector, reported 15% revenue growth in 2016, largely due to its expansion in export markets which now account for approximately 70% of turnover.
The reorganisation of the sales structure, now led by Alessandro Fava, has resulted in an expansion of the network of agents and distributors. Along with GV Service (headed by Giulio Valente), the company’s longstanding partner for the US market, the Tecnema range is now represented in Spain by Das-Tech Solutions (managing director Vicente Alcacer) and in Germany by StemaTec (led by Gerhard Kraut and Reiner Schölles).
Alessandro Fava’s goal for 2017 is to strengthen Tecnema’s presence in Western Europe, especially in France and the UK, as well as in the markets of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Turkey.
This year the company took part in Batimat Russia in Moscow, in Coverings in Orlando and in the marble show in Izmir and confirmed that it will be participating in Cersaie and Marmomacc.
“Italy continues to be an extremely important market as it serves as the testing ground for all our technological innovations,” Fava explained. “One example is the Square Dry automatic dry squaring machine unveiled at the beginning of the year and tested in March in Marazzi Group’s factory in Fiorano. The culmination of two and a half years of research, it is a unique machine in terms of its advanced automation functions and does not require an operator to be physically present on the line.”
In addition to calibration, profiling and grinding machines for ceramic tile and natural stone, the Tecnema Technology range also includes cutting lines for the production of trim pieces and mosaic.
