Durst Phototechnik: Gamma 75 HD, Gamma 70 M e Pictocer HD

Gamma 75 HD is the latest addition to the Gamma family of digital printing systems from Durst. The name itself reflects one of its key characteristics: Gamma 75 HD, which stands for High Definition, guarantees extremely high image precision and quality thanks to Advanced Grayscale technology, which controls the quantity of ink used and thus the colour intensity. The extremely fast expulsion system ensures that each individual droplet is positioned with precision on the tile surface. Furthermore, Gamma 75HD has 5 colour channels. Classic four-colour printing is expanded with the addition of a further channel which is used for printing white or brown, as the operator chooses. Brown in particular can be used for decorating materials such as wood and stone, avoiding the need for magenta from the four-colour process. This makes the printing process faster and cheaper. Furthermore, Gamma 75 HD is 4 times faster than the solutions currently available on the market, even when printing at a resolution of 360x480 dpi. For even more vivid colours and maximum covering power, Gamma 75 HD has a maximum resolution of 360x600 dpi.

Whereas the innovative feature of Gamma 75 HD is the addition of the fifth colour channel, Gamma 70 M - which stands for "Modular" - aims to achieve maximum modularity and flexibility. Equipped with Multidot Grayscale technology, it is available in four different configurations - M2, M3, M4 and M5 - each of which is ideal for decorating areas of specific width. By exploiting its direct experience in the field and listening to the requests of end customers, Durst has succeeded in developing a system with fully optimised mechanics, electronics, software and aesthetics that is capable of fully meeting the needs of users.

Durst is also presenting the new Durst Pictocer HD flatbed inkjet printing system. This compact industrial printer is proposed as a solution for autonomous production of samples in parallel with the normal production process. Aimed at companies that already use digital technology in industrial production as well as those that are just entering the world of digital printing, Durst Pictocer HD uses exactly the same pigmented ceramic inks as Durst Gamma, the new standard for digital tile decoration used by all the leading ceramic manufacturers in the world. This enables it to simulate the end results of both Gamma 60/70 and the new Gamma 75 HD on floor and wall tiles (porcelain, single and double firing), decorative strips and trim pieces (subsequently produced with Durst Gamma) and thereby predict production costs in advance.
