It consists of a die-box changeover system which allows the die-box to be moved on rails at the edges of the mould, where it is correctly positioned and oriented by means of locator pins.
The blocks can also be changed in the same way as they are located on a plate which runs on tracks at the end of the ejector.
This size changeover system can handle sizes from 10x10 cm to 60x60 cm without the need to remove the mould from the press, resulting in drastic downtime reductions.
In the upper portion of the transfer moulds (SFS), modularity is achieved by a system of high-precision interchangeable liner-holding boxes.
Fds-Ettmar is also proposing a solution called TCS for connecting isostatic punches without the use of a tube to obtain a single calibre.
This system exploits the principle of communicating vessels without the use of external tubes.
On upper forming moulds the hydraulic system is located inside to the ejector block of the mould and the punches are directly connected on the magnetic bases by a patented quick coupling system.
The main advantages of the system are:
- Elimination of all problems relating to the use of tubes (breakages, leaks, etc.).
- Better manoeuvrability of the lower punches (easier to replace)
- Possibility of connecting larger size punches (e.g. 60x60 cm 3u.)
- Possibility of adding various peripheral tools to the isostatic circuit (pressure monitoring, etc.)
The trolley CC001 combines the most advanced mechanical technology with robustness and a special design and is capable of changing punches of any size, from the smallest up to a maximum weight of 200 kg.
All operations can be performed by means of a control system, avoiding the risk of overexertion or injury for the operators.
