Sacmi LAP 675 automatic polishing machine

Sacmi LAP 675 automatic polishing machineThe new Sacmi LAP 675 is an automatic porcelain tile polishing machine capable of producing innovative surfaces. Tiles can be divided into three distinct groups according to surface texture: textured surface; flat but rough surface, as at the kiln exit; flat surface polished after firing.
Tiles in the first two groups have a fairly rough, matt surface that can meet the required design applications. In order to extend application to other areas, the surface characteristics must be modified subsequent to firing so as to increase shine and reduce roughness.
To solve this problem, Sacmi proposes a lapping machine to be installed at the kiln exit. With the lapping process, tiles in the first two groups can be given an intermediate finish somewhere between rough and polished. Whether they tend more towards one type or the other depends on the number of heads installed on the lapping machine and the grain of the abrasives that impregnate the bristles on the brushes.
By using brushes and regulating their working pressure, highly uniform treatment can be achieved over the entire surface of the tiles, even reaching the depth of the low-relief points on textured surfaces.
