Italian and Spanish turnovers

14/07/06 - 2005 has been confirmed as a good year for the leading Italian and Spanish ceramic tile producer companies.
The annual survey of the main economic data of the leading groups conducted by Tile Italia confirms the figures published during the year by the two national trade associations Assopiastrelle and Ascer, albeit with a few variations relating to the number of companies surveyed.
Almost all the companies in both countries reported various increases in turnover.
However, the factors behind these increases differ slightly. For the Italian companies, the increase in average selling prices has been most significant (+4.98% for the top 44 companies surveyed by Tile Italia, +4.73% the overall figure for the sector according to Assopiastrelle), while the increases in sales in the domestic and foreign markets have had a smaller contribution.
For the Spanish companies, the increases in average selling prices have been accompanied by an increase in production and sales, albeit smaller than in recent years.

The in-focus section contains the tables with the economic data for the main Italian and Spanish groups.
