The turnovers of Spanish ceramic companies (2004)
The figures gathered by our magazine confirm the results for the Spanish tile industry published by Ceramic World Web during Cevisama 2005. Production totalled 635 million sq.m (+1.8%) and turnover 3,628 million euro (+3.8%).
Exports were also up (+1.95% to 1,997 million euro), although increases were reported only in euro zone countries whereas exports to dollar zone and other non-European countries fell (see Spanish tiles, increase in production and exports).
The in-focus section contains the turnovers of the top 10 Spanish ceramic tile producers. The rankings are led by the Porcelanosa Group with a consolidated turnover of 417.4 million euro.

Tile production takes place in the following factories:
Spain: two factories (Barcelona and Castellon de la Plana)
Brazil: Incepa; USA: Laufen Ceramics (2 factories)
Peru: Celima
Bulgaria: Fayans Kaspichan.
The total turnover generated by the Roca Group's tile division in 2004 was about 350 million euro.
