15 Italian companies head to Brazil for Expo Revestir

Following Indian Ceramics Asia, Acimac has organized a new country pavilion in Latin America.

Expo Revestir, the most important exhibition of surfaces and finishes in Latin America, will be held in Brazil from 14 to 17 March, for the first time ever in the brand new São Paulo Expo. As always, the Italian ceramic machinery and equipment manufacturers’ association Acimac will be organising an Italian pavilion, which this year will occupy a larger than usual space of 378 square metres.

The event is Acimac’s second collective participation of the year following the stand organised at Indian Ceramics Asia last month. The Brazilian show is a regular appointment for the association, and one that it has attended ever since the exhibition was first held back in 2001. The Italian ceramic machinery and equipment industry will be represented at the show by 15 companies, 6 more than last year: BMR, Certech, Inkside, Inter Ser, LB Technology, Mectiles Italia, Metco, Bocedi, Officine Smac, Pemo Pumps - Perissinotto, Sacmi, Stylgraph, System Ceramics, TecnoFerrari and TekmakAs always, visitors to the Italian pavilion will have a chance to appreciate the unique characteristics of the Italian ceramic machinery industry and its products. The show will also serve as a platform for the international promotion of Tecna, the international exhibition of technologies and supplies for surfaces which will next be held in September 2024.

Brazil is the world’s third largest ceramic tile producer with a production of 1,049 million sqm in 2021 (24.9% more than the previous year), equivalent to 77% of South America’s entire output. It also ranks third among the largest consumer countries with a consumption of 902 million sqm (+8.8%). South America as a whole is the world’s third largest ceramic machinery importer with sales of €215 million in 2021, 14% of the total (+54.7%), with Brazil the largest market in the region.

“It’s always a pleasure to take part in this important exhibition, which is now part of our association’s DNA,” commented Acimac’s Chairman Paolo Lamberti. “It is a unique event that not only serves as an important showcase for Italian companies in the growing Brazilian market but also gives us the opportunity to meet the leading international players in the sector and to establish new business contacts.”
