Acimac training course in Russia

13/10/05 – An advanced training course for ceramic tile industry technicians entitled “Grinding and pressing of ceramic tiles” will be held in Moscow from 17 to 19 October.
This is the third appointment in Moscow organised by Acimac (Italian ceramic plant and machinery manufacturers’ association) in cooperation with the Italian Trade Commission in the space of 18 months for the purpose of promoting Italian technology in foreign ceramic production. The two previous courses were attended by 140 local technicians.

There is also strong demand from Italian companies to take part in the concluding workshop on 20 October, a whole day devoted to the presentation of technical and commercial reports by supplier companies and meetings with their Russian counterparts. The Italian companies Ancora, Barbieri & Tarozzi, C.M.F. Technology, Gape Due, ICF, LB, Martinelli, Mass, Sacmi and T.S.C. will be taking part in the workshop.

The interest in Russia on the part of the ceramic industry and the Italian technology manufacturers is demonstrated by the figures. The local industry has been displaying rapid growth in recent years. Tile production rose from 30 million square metres in 2000 to 104 million square metres in 2004, with a 26.8% increase in the last year alone.
