Acimac's spring initiatives

02/03/07 - "Appointments for members - Acimac planning 2007" is the title of the new calendar that Acimac (Italian ceramic plant and machinery manufacturerd' association) is currently sending out to its member companies. This new communication and planning tool contains all the appointments, initiatives and events of interest for ceramic machinery manufacturers.

The themes of the training courses for member companies scheduled for the spring months include: organisation of the technical department; interpreting balance sheets for non-experts; economic, legislative and fiscal aspects of employee travel; writing operation manuals; agency contracts in Italy and abroad; the role of the project manager; functional safety of circuits.
Acimac's activities also include participation at international tradeshows. From 13 to 16 March, an Italian pavilion will be organised at the trade fair Revestir at Sao Paulo, Brazil in cooperation with the Italian Trade Commission ICE. ICE-Acimac will additionally be organising an Italian pavilion at the exhibition Mosbuild in Moscow, Russia from 3 to 6 April.
Acimac will also be organising a presence in India and China, the world's fastest-growing economic players. Italian companies will be taking part in the ICE-Acimac pavilion at Indian Ceramics (Mumbai, India) from 11 to 13 April while another ICE-Acimac pavilion is being organised for Ceramics China (Canton, China) from 30 May to 2 June.

Another important tool for machinery and equipment manufacturers is due to be unveiled in April: the sector survey on the ceramic industry in North Africa. An update on the Indian industry is currently in progress and should be published by the middle of this year.

Acimac is also organising a number of seminars and technical conferences. The new BATs (Best Available Technologies) for the ceramic sector will be discussed on 8 March, followed by new opportunities for research funding on 8 May. A conference on "Rheology in ceramics" will be organised on 15 May in cooperation with the Italian Ceramic Society. Finally, on 14 June there will be a seminar on the new Electromagnetic Compatibility directive.

A training course for technicians from customer companies operating in the brick and tile sector will be held in Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) from 3 to 6 June.

Federmacchine (the federation of Italian manufacturing goods producer associations) is also organising a number of events: on 5 March a conference on the 7th European Research Framework Programme; on 3 April a meeting to discuss changes to legislation affecting the electrical part of machinery; on 11 May the General Meeting of Federmacchine; and on 29 May a focus on the machinery leasing contract.

Acimac's busy spring calendar will come to an end on 8 June with the association's General Meeting.
Member companies will be sent information and an invitation to each individual event.
