Art Ceramic (Egypt) starts up with System
Art Ceramic, a newly formed Egyptian company located in the city of 6th of October and founded by one of the partners of the historic company Ceramica Alfa, has equipped its entire glazing, decoration and end-of-line departments with System machinery. The start-up is due within the first half of 2010.
The glazing department will use machinery and components from Nuova Era, comprising six glazing lines that will be integrated with two pairs of kilns with an output of 12,000 sq.m and 7,000 sq.m per day respectively. The decoration systems will be equipped with 9 Rotocolor S4.2 LL Triplex units. The sorting department will use four Easy Line units, of which two are semiautomatic without automatic packaging and two are Easy Line V60/V90 units capable of sorting and packaging large-format tiles (60x60 cm or 40x80 cm) with a cover type packaging system. Art Ceramic will be able to produce tiles ranging from small sizes (20x20 cm, 20x30 cm and 25x40 cm), which are still in strong demand in these markets, through to medium and large sizes (30x30 cm, 60x60 cm and 40x80 cm). The supply package will also include a new-generation Falcon Millennium palletiser with a cantilever arm for handling medium and large sizes.
The assembly, start-up and inspection operations will be performed by System technicians from the Egyptian branch, opened in 2005. To date System has installed around 300 Rotocolor units in Egypt.
