Assopiastrelle celebrates its fortieth anniversary

17/06/04 - The Italian ceramic tile and refractory materials manufacturers’ association Assopiastrelle is celebrating its fortieth anniversary.
The celebrations will be held on Monday 21 June at the Palazzo Ducale in Sassuolo. The association’s member entrepreneurs will be joined by Pier Ferdinando Casini (President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies), Emma Marcegaglia (one of the Confindustria Vice Chairmen) and Luca di Montezemolo (Chairman of Confindustria, Italian Employers’ Federation).
Mr Casini will speak at 11 a.m. during the public part of the members’ meeting, together with Assopiastrelle Chairman Sergio Sassi and Emma Marcegaglia.
The three speakers will address the most important and topical issues for the sector, including the difficult international situation, the loss of world market share by Italian products, unfair competition, and last but not least the cluster’s infrastructure problems and the slow liberalisation of the energy markets.

The celebrations will be rounded off with a gala evening held at the association’s headquarters and attended by numerous religious, civil and military figures. The guest of honour will be Luca di Montezemolo, Chairman of Confindustria. The day’s events, organised in cooperation with Mapei and Sacmi Imola, will be concluded at 10.30 p.m. with a concert by Peppino Di Capri.
