Batimatec 2023 on the starting blocks
From 7 to 11 May in the Palais des Expositions Pins Maritimes in Algiers.
The 25th Batimatec, one of the most important building technology exhibitions in North Africa, will be held in the Palais des Expositions Pins Maritimes in Algiers from 7 to 11 May with a special focus on energy efficiency in construction.
One of Africa’s most eagerly anticipated trade fairs amongst domestic and international trade professionals, the event covers virtually all segments of the construction industry and is the ideal showcase for launching new products and developing new business relationships.
Organised by Batimatec Expo and the Algerian company SAFEX with the support of the Ministry of Urban Planning, the show is expected to attract a large domestic and international presence. Last year’s show saw the participation of 250,000 visitors and 750 exhibitors in a 27,000 square metre exhibition space, including 250 international exhibitors from 11 different countries. The Italian delegation led by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) was the largest contingent with a total of 80 exhibitors, followed by Turkey with 60 companies, then Tunisia, Spain and France with around 20 companies each.
The show will feature a packed programme of ancillary events including conferences, practical demonstrations, study days and workshops focusing on technical innovations and industry trends, while the B2B and B2C meeting platform will offer new business opportunities.
The organisers are expecting potentially 250,000 visitors in 2023, in line with the 2022 show, and 800 exhibiting companies (+6.7%).
