Bedeschi in Indonesia with Lyman Group
Lyman, the largest Indonesian roofing materials manufacturer, successfully started up a new roof tile production plant last October following a very short installation period.
The heart of the line consists of the new self-standing single-layer tunnel kiln built by the Italian company Bedeschi and designed to ensure uniform firing in keeping with the client's high quality standards.
Innovative solutions were developed for the position and type of installed burners to allow for optimal management of flows inside the kiln.
The chosen loading method allows for separation of the material, making it possible to combine excellent surface quality of products with a shorter firing cycle and consequently lower energy consumption.
Due to its size, the kiln can achieve high productivity over 16-hour cycles, and by operating at high temperatures it can satisfy a range of different colour requests. The supervision and control system is fully automatic.
The photos show a scene from the opening ceremony, the kiln in operation and the first glazed tiles produced by the new plant.
