Bill Muir appointed new CEO of EFI
Bill Muir took over the reins of the US multinational from Guy Gecht on 15 October.
On 15 October, William (Bill) D. Muir was appointed the new CEO of EFI, Inc., the Nasdaq-listed world leader in the field of digital printing based in Fremont, California.
Muir succeeds Guy Gecht, who oversaw the group’s transformation and growth over the last 20 years and will remain a member of the Board of Directors and will be an advisor to the CEO.
Muir, who holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Florida, had a long career at Jabil (a $22 billion US multinational operating in the electronics sector), where he recently served as Chief Operating Officer.
EFI reported 4% higher revenue in the third quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017, bringing revenue for the first nine months of the year to US $758.1 million (up 5% on January-September 2017).
