BMR showcases its all-Italian technology at Tecnargilla 2012

BMR enjoyed a highly successful participation at Tecnargilla 2012, the pre-eminent international exhibition of technologies and supplies for the ceramic and brick industries organised by Rimini Fiera and Acimac and held in Rimini from 24 to 27 September this year.

The BMR stand offered a highly effective showcase of the company's innovative technology, which was well received by the many visitors from more than 110 countries worldwide.

This outstanding result further encourages BMR to continue its pursuit of technological innovation and to maintain a presence in established markets while at the same time introducing new products tailored to emerging countries.

BMR's key strengths underscored at Tecnargilla were the R&D investments the company has made in recent years as well as the development of dry technology, a process that combines distinctive Italian quality with environmental sustainability.

The main products on display were:

-            Squadra® Dry, a new machine designed for grinding monoporosa and double fired wall tiles that has already won major awards for its technological and eco-friendly qualities. It uses diamond tools without water cooling, thereby eliminating the need for a water extraction system at the machine exit and for a gas dryer.

-            Ecobrick, a dry squaring machine for use in the brick industry which contributes to increased insulation of houses for the purposes of energy saving and greater care for the environment. With its rugged electrowelded steel structure, it can be equipped with 2 or 4 calibrating spindles per side and is ready for installation of front grinding wheels of diameter 500 mm. These characteristics allow for a considerable reduction in vibrations and ensure maximum machining precision, while at the same time increasing productivity.

-            Calibra, an oscillating roller calibrator that makes the surface of the tile flat and uniform, ideal for the subsequent polishing stage. This operation is performed by means of the oscillating action, consisting of the alternating lateral movement of the calibrating roller around its own horizontal axis.

-            Leviga, a lapping/polishing machine with two independent oscillating tables capable of differentiating stroke and speed of movement while optimising the tool action for perfect lapping/polishing even on the edges of the material.
