Bonfiglioli looks to Vietnam

Bonfiglioli, the Bologna, Italy-based manufacturer of electronic power transmissions, recently opened its first factory in Vietnam.
Located in the Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) industrial park, the new facility required an investment of more than nine million euro, 20% of which was provided by Simest, the development finance institution controlled by the Ministry of the Treasury which supports the internationalisation of Italian companies.

The Vietnam facility marks a further important step forward in the internationalisation strategy of Bonfiglioli, which in addition to its headquarters just outside Bologna now has production units in Germany, Slovakia and India as well as subsidiaries in 14 countries.
