Bright 2006 for commercial flooring in USA

29/08/07 - Despite the economic slowdown and the severe crisis in the housing market, sales in 2006 of commercial floor and wall coverings in the USA rose by 6.5% on the previous year, to reach 6.5 billion dollars.

The increase was chiefly driven by a boom in the hotel and wellness sectors, and ceramic tiles took an 11.7% share of total sales.

According to data published by Floor Focus & Market Insight/Torcivia, the sector is expected to see further growth in 2007.
