Casalgrande Padana acquires Riwal Ceramiche

28/11/06 - On 25 November this year Casalgrande Padana acquired the Fiorano, Modena-based firm Riwal Ceramiche and its brands Alfa, Saime, Lux and San Prospero.

The agreement involved setting up a new company called Nuova Riwal Ceramiche in which Casalgrande Padana has acquired the majority shareholding.

The development projects underlying the agreement include the commercial and industrial restructuring of Riwal Ceramiche and the creation of synergies and opportunities within the group.

Following the acquisition, the newly-formed ceramic group will have a production capacity of about 35 million sq.m/year at six factories located in Casalgrande, Maranello and Roteglia.
