Ceramica Gres 2000 opens new factory

31/03/04 - Over the next few months, Ceramica Gres 2000 (set up in 2003 in Crotone, majority shareholder Enzo Mularoni, owner of the Del Conca, Faetano, Pastorelli Group) will be starting up a new plant for the production of glazed porcelain tile. The Barbieri & Tarozzi Group of Formigine is currently completing the installation of 3 complete production lines in the factory, which extends over a covered area of 50,000 sq.m and holds the entire B&T plant. The plant consists of a complete raw materials grinding system consisting of 10 mills with a capacity of 34,000 l/hour, a glaze grinding plant comprising 18 mills of various sizes with various production requirements, a spray dryer capable of evaporating 12,000 litres of water/hour to feed 6 latest-generation 3,500 ton presses, a three-channel horizontal dryer and 3 high-capacity roller kilns each of length 126 metres, capable of producing a total of 30,000 sq.m/day of medium or large format tiles. The B&T Group is also supplying a complete laser-guided handling and storage system based on the latest-generation bi-box machines. The supply contract additionally includes the installation of six “Smart Line” sorting lines equipped with palletisers together with an automatic laser-guided system for transporting pallets of finished product from the palletiser to packaged pallet pre-storage. The entire production cycle is supported by an advanced supervision system for complete management of process data.
